Driving drums and evolving tonal textures push the track forward through tight loops and subtle shifts, building energy with calculated restraint. On “The Hound of Boley,” Hybrasil moves deeper into hypnotic territory. A firm low-end pulse anchors textured layers that add depth and atmosphere, unfolding with steady intensity. Brooding and immersive, it’s designed for those darker hours when the room locks into a single rhythm.
Closing cut “Way Back” balances rhythmic force with subtle melodic movement. The groove remains tight and purposeful, while evolving elements introduce motion without softening its edge. Dynamic yet controlled, it’s built for sustained momentum and long, driving blends.
Berlin-based live techno artist Hybrasil draws on a deep technical background shaped through years of sound engineering at studios including Temple Lane and Grouse Lodge. His music reflects a meticulous approach to analog synthesis and sonic design, blending intricate textures with driving techno frameworks. Releases on labels such as Chris Liebing’s CLR, Rekids, We Are The Brave, UNCAGE, and Awesome Soundwave highlight his uncompromising artistic vision.
His productions have gained support from influential figures including Richie Hawtin, Dave Clarke, Radio Slave, Rødhåd, Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Nicole Moudaber, and Joseph Capriati, while his live performances have reached iconic venues such as Panorama Bar, DC10, Melkweg, Fabrik Madrid, Amnesia, and Sisyphos Berlin. A defining moment came at Bord Gais Theatre in Dublin, where his live show Spaces premiered ahead of a performance by Jeff Mills and the Irish National Concert Orchestra.
